Summer in Naples: New Friends & City Magic

You know that feeling when a city just gets under your skin? Naples – or Napoli, as the locals call it – has officially done that to me. This summer has been particularly special because I’ve had the chance to show around several friends visiting from abroad, and somehow that’s made me fall in love with this place all over again.

Seeing Naples Through New Eyes

There’s something magical about walking these streets with someone who’s seeing them for the first time. The energy of the city, the chaos in the best way possible, the way the light hits the buildings at golden hour – it all feels fresh again when you’re watching someone else discover it. My friends kept saying things like, “How do you live here and not just spend all day taking photos?” Spoiler alert: I kind of do.

I’ve somehow accumulated over 60 photos from just these past few weeks. I’m not even sorry about it. Naples deserves every single one.

A City That Takes Your Breath Away

What strikes me most about Napoli is how it’s almost *too* beautiful – in a way that’s almost overwhelming. There’s history layered upon history here. Every corner tells a story, every alleyway has character. The architecture, the street life, the sheer authenticity of it all… it’s a lot, but in the most wonderful way.

I promise I’m going to go back through all these photos and share the actual locations and stories behind each spot. Some are obvious (the views, the famous landmarks), but some are those hidden gems that only make sense once you know the backstory. That’s the fun part – getting to share not just pretty pictures, but the *why* behind them.

More Naples Stories Coming

This city has given me so much content, so many memories, and honestly, so much joy. Summer in Naples with good friends? That’s a combination I’m never taking for granted. Stay tuned as I slowly unpack all these moments – because let’s be real, 60+ photos deserve proper captions.

I translate flavors, habits, and identities between two worlds that rarely meet—but deeply resonate when they do. This space is where those worlds collide. And occasionally, where they argue.
