The Lemon Aroma, Preserved for a Lifetime

For Carlo Mansi, crafting Limoncello has never been just a profession. It has been a lifelong dedication.

Founded in Minori, on Italy's Amalfi Coast, Liquorificio Mansi has remained a family-owned distillery since 1959. Using only Sfusato Amalfitano lemons, each bottle is crafted through traditional hand-peeling techniques and a family recipe passed down through generations.

Today, Carlo Mansi continues to preserve the lemon-making heritage of Minori, making Mansi one of the most authentic names travelers discover along the Amalfi Coast.

Slow Is More Than
a Method.

It's the Tradition Mansi Has Chosen to Preserve.

Many believe the secret to an exceptional Limoncello lies in the recipe.

For Carlo Mansi, however, the true secret is patience.

Each year, only Amalfi lemons whose peels have just begun to turn golden are carefully selected. At this precise moment, their essential oils reach their fullest expression, revealing the richest and most complex aroma.

Every lemon is then peeled entirely by hand, removing only the outer zest where the precious essential oils are found. Following a family recipe perfected over generations, the peels are left to infuse slowly—never rushed.

In a world driven by speed and efficiency, Mansi continues to embrace the slowest path, preserving the authentic fragrance of Amalfi lemons in every bottle.

From the Lemon Town of Minori

Among all the villages scattered along the Amalfi Coast, Minori has always been my favorite.

There are no overwhelming crowds or staged tourist attractions here. Instead, you'll find terraced lemon groves climbing the hillsides, Amalfi lemons nurtured by the Mediterranean breeze, and a community that continues to live according to traditions passed down through generations.

In Minori, lemons are more than fruit.
They are part of the local culture, everyday life, and the identity of a town that has remained deeply connected to its roots.

What Truly Makes a Limoncello Isn't Just the Recipe

It's the Amalfi Lemon.

What truly makes Mansi different is the place it comes from.

Steep lemon terraces overlooking the sea, warm Mediterranean sunshine, coastal breezes, and centuries of traditional cultivation all shape the unmistakable character of the Sfusato Amalfitano lemon.

Compared with ordinary lemons, it offers a thicker peel, a higher concentration of natural essential oils, and an exceptionally refined citrus aroma.

For this reason, it has become not only one of the defining symbols of the Amalfi Coast, but also the indispensable soul of authentic Italian Limoncello.
